let's start at the very beginning...

we congregated at a liquor store (how apt) in flemington before convoying down to meredith. jamie, jill, mark, jen and myself. both cars filled to the brim - jen was almost swallowed up by all the camping gear in the rav.

the line of cars once we passed the town of meredith was amazing, the molestation of a young pine tree not so much. :)

we pitched the tents in a prime location at south pines and rested at roswell over a few beverages and snacks.

then into the night...

you should have been there to see the stars. most amazing sky EVER.

these are the bands that we watched or just heard on friday:
puta madre brothers
rat vs possum
kimbra (might have had a nap around here)
jeff the brotherhood
broadcast
cloud control
reverend horton heat
little red (okay, so i didn't hang out for these guys as they were support for leonard cohen last weekend - damn, last weekend feels like a forever ago)

this isn't a bike, it's a box. which means i'll be putting it together some day soon. with the right tools. either that or a visit to my local bike shop with help! written on my forehead. ;)

norman hetherington, creator of mr squiggle died yesterday. he was 89. i loved mr squiggle growing up, and didn't realise that the show ran until 1999 - that's 40 years of mr squiggle and friends. black board and bill the steam shovel, rocket, and for me it was miss jane. may your nose be forever sharp. ;)

what did my true love deliver today?

6 somethings...geese and they're a-laying. really, what good are geese to me, i live in an apartment? give me something a little more fun, or practical.

me and my tree

today was about hanging out, listening to christmas carols while decorating the tree and then watching the last few episodes of season 3 of eureka.

this little bird reminds me of one that my nan used to have for her tree.

xmas is creeping ever closer.

the view from a grassy knoll

had a mad morning of starbucks, the queen vic markets and shopping at highpoint. can't believe i got so much done before midday. some time after the noon hour and after picking jamie up, we headed to the rochford winery for another day on the green. the headliners were blondie and the pretenders, supported by adalita and little red.

we were prepared for rain, sleet and cold and maybe underprepared for the heat. it ended up being humid and hot. i'm not complaining too loudly as i much preferred that than the thunderstorms that had been threatened.

a fun time was had, and the venue is much preferred over hanging rock. blondie rocked, and even though i enjoyed chrissie hynde, blondie definitely won my heart. ;)
