a free movie at cinema nova, a sympathetic film about margaret thatcher. it gave me just enough to want to find out more about the time and woman. but i fear that the film itself wasn't very much though the performance was fantastic.
my colette sewing handbook and two patterns arrived in the post at last. i'm reading it now. there will be sewing soon, promise. of course by soon i probably mean next year.

Totally with you on the Iron Lady...it was a mad jumble of a movie, but a great performance from Meryl - and I'm not normally a huge fan of hers.
It was more of a brief survey of her time in office, which I don't think really revealed any deeper truths about her character. My dad would have hated the incessant flashbacks - he always used to complain about them on Magnum PI!
