the sunday that went on, and on, and on...

very tired.... these pics were taken at around 6.30 on sunday morning. i'd been up since 5.30, but since victoria went to day light savings today, in actuality it was 4.30. i tried not to think about that too often. ;)

people were rushing to the art gallery. at 6.30am on a sunday morning. how surreal is that? i think even dali would agree and that's who we were all there to see. the salvador dali: liquid desire exhibition at the NGVI. i was sitting on the ledge waiting and watching people power walk into the building. it's pretty incredible and a great marketing ploy by the gallery - grabbing a new audience. the gallery stayed open for 24 hours over the last day of the dali exhibition - and the lines were insane the entire night. jamie and i were in line inside the gallery for about an hour before we got into start viewing, then in there about two hours. destino, the short film between dali and disney is still by far my favourite piece.

because i was late getting into the exhibition (who woulda thought there would be so long a line?) i was a bit late picking up tash for our date at the tulip festival. the drive up to silvan was lovely. but there was another line to get in when we arrived, and then it started raining so we purchased two lovely rain ponchos. there was food and jazz and a whole lot of chatting. a very good time was had with the lovely tash.

last show.... which i just made it to. something to be said about day light savings, devonshire tea and not being able to tell the time by the sun... oops!

a good last show. i really enjoyed the experience and hope to repeat it again sometime soon. theatre at whatever level is a lot of fun. the below pic is me sitting on the stage packing up the "snow" for the last time with ziggy and his fundament bum in the background.
