caught hannah gadsby's cliff young shuffle at the town hall before dinner at shanghai dumpling. that place is just hilarious, with at least five extra loud renditions of happy birthday over the stereo - none of them were for me, thank goodness.
ah sarah. saw her last year with felicity and i'm so glad we got seats to this year's show. i was crying 95% of the time. she makes me laugh so much.
moved onto soul-a-go-go at the johnston in fitzroy later in the evening. i've been listening to vince peach on pbs for a while now and have wanted to get along to some northern soul tunes. fine music, very sweaty venue. will definitely be going along again. very smooth indeed.
