nashville civic sights

wandered by the tennessee capital building to start the day.

then the museum called to me.

the exhibits ranged from the earliest inhabitants of native americans, who gave way to the cherokee and chicasaw tribes, before they were pushed out by the europeans. of course there was a huge civil war display which was really interesting. (the no flash and lower light discouraged the taking of photos - and really you had to be there - go!)

then it was down to broadway for lunch and a walk.

i kept hearing music... funny about that. but these strange boxes were all around downtown with different country music playing. love that idea. i think we need to adopt that here and have our local musos exposed (and not in that way).

the evening had me at a fantastic restaurant not far from my hotel where i ate the local fare and listened to the live band in front of me. i swear music oozed out of every corner of downtown nashville.
