you may or may not have noticed by now that my trip to l.a. seriously seems to be about where we go to devour what food. it's definitely beginning to feel that way to me.
julie and i were at larchmont village this morning - a gorgeous city block of shops and restaurants where we succumbed to the temptations of blue and red velvet pancakes. though not like any pancakes i've seen or tasted before. mmm...
then we stopped at crumbs for take away cupcakes.
from here we headed up to hollywood boulevard, mostly for a drive. but then stopped because i remembered that there's a bettie page store on the boulevard... one dress later we wander into an army surplus store. yes, they have everything right here on hollywood blvd. :) i was looking for some 501s, which i bought for a third of the price the levis store was touting yesterday. so very happy about that.
of course a trip back down to hawthorne is not complete without a trip to randy's (heehee), the drive-through doughnut store. can you believe it? and they say we're weird for having drive-through bottle shops. ha!
how beautiful is she? flynn is the most delightful babe to hang out with.
and again, more food to end the evening with. a trip to el toritos grill for mexican - YAH! the best tortillas ever. and the strawberry margaritas were kind of tasty too.

If there's one thing I'm getting from all of your American adventurings it is this: MUST. EAT. MEXICAN. FOOD. NOW!
Sounds (and looks) like a fabulous holiday - live it up!
