kim rock climbs in the area of new paltz, see area ringed on map below and has friends who live nearby. we were invited up for a halloween party, camping in their backyard.
the ensemble put on their party faces (that is scars, blood and white white paint - though there was one guy who's idea of zombie also included glitter eyelashes.. wah?) so after painting up there was a long walk through the scrub (reminding me a lot of the blair witch project) before zombie-walking the main street of rosendale. there was even some caroling, though to empty houses - where was everyone??
we ended up at a dance party for a few hours which was AWESOME. almost danced my stumps off (stumps since i lost my feet a couple of days back). everyone had costumed up and looked great.
then there was the long walk back and there were hills to climb that weren't there before... but on the up side the stars were just incredible. even got to wish on a falling one.
then as i was trying to crawl into the two pygmy tent i was accosted by zombie henning who ordered me into the house for the pumpkin carving contest. it was 1.30am, they were drunk and they were given knives. oh yeah, halloween rocks.
