back to astoria

it was later then expected when everyone emerged from their tents. these couple of pics are of caitlin and henning's home in the woods. it's a lovely place, though i would only be able to handle it as a holiday home. and possibly not in winter. ;) it got extremely cold over night and the day didn't look to be getting much better.



a quick stop at rosendale for photos during the day and some breakfast before hitting the road, searching out the autumn leaves still left on the trees before heading back to queens.








i wasn't in the mood to struggle through the hordes of halloweenies at the annual new york parade so we gave that a miss and instead walked up to the main street of astoria for a diner burger and dessert. mine was the new york cheesecake of course, mmm... nice way to end a great weekend.
