sunday, the morning of. there were levels of cool and lameness this day. an "early" morning group - that is to say, a 9.30 group heading up gondalas to the top of the mountain. just to see what's up there. as it happens, not much up there but the view absolutely magnificent.
look mom, it's me, with daily prequisite venti mocha frappacino with no whipped cream... ahhh..... i'm on top of the world....
the lameness came in the shape of the other groups that couldn't make the "early" 9.30 and had to make the trip later in the day. vince is the only one who had a good excuse since he and julie couldn't see each other til the ceremony later in the day.
after this i ran a few errands, laundered since i'm not likely to get a chance in new york and packed. also snuck in a short nap before getting pretty for the wedding. can you believe it? julie's married. anyway...
up to edgewood at 5.30 as i said i would take polaroids of guests for the guestbook and also prepare for a reading i was to give as part of the ceremony. eek! but i get ahead of my self. as the ceremony is just about to begin....
cassie (vince's sister) walks up first - she's officiating, followed by vince and reid.
a change of music, beyond the sea and angela walks down the aisle.
then it's julie's turn, along with her mom and dad - they walked down to nat king cole singing l.o.v.e. in french. just great.
while photos were being taken along the lakeshore with the setting sun, i took polaroids of people and photos of my own.
the chicago crew again...
inside the edgewood...
gary and steven from l.a. (i refuse to say another word about hot progressive slots)
this is tanya and kerry - also from l.a.
vince's sister, cassie and her husband ray. they visited australia last year. great folk, though ray wasn't at all well this weekend.
a shot of julie and vince after being announced as mr and mrs vince bray - sitting down to dinner (great grub).
angela, the maid of honour and marv, fellow reader of verse.
the beautiful gerbera bouquets and the wedding cake.
i jumped into a photo with julie. i like my dress. her's is pretty good as well. ha!
these happening people are kirsten and darion. super duper twosome. need to go dancing with them again soon somehow.
then came the speeches and the tears. i was quite emotional myself when bill, julie's dad was giving his speech. these three, lisa, blair and aileen were actually sobbing when angela gave hers.
then came the dancing.
i didn't get anymore after this. too busy dancing myself. yes, the shoes came off and i went a little mad, but it's been such a long time.
after the reception we headed back to harrah's and the hard rock cafe for a drink, while some gambled. darion has some photos of julie gambling in her wedding dress that i hope to get sometime soon. we ended up at a cafe in the hotel in the wee hours of the morning, eating cheesecake, pineapple upside down cake, french toast and sausages.
it was a time, i tell you.

Hey Leis,
Thanks for posting the pics, looks like everyone had an awesome time, especially J&V! Wish we could've been there.
Great to see some familiar faces and places on your travels. Keep having fun!
