an old mansion

one of my favourite places to visit when living in l.a. was the greystone mansion. it's story is one of money, power and murder. it would make a great movie but for the fact that there are still living relatives, not in the house but in the area.

the mansion is hardly ever opened, used mostly for movie shoots. i could only look through the windows on the bottom floor.

the view from the gardens is spectacular when l.a. isnt smoggy. you can see all the way downtown. not this day though. hot and full of smog. out the back is the old pool house. the pool has been cemented over but if you use your imagination you can see how it would look in the 30s. fantastic.
